Mind Imaging Portfolio
Customers profiled
A few customers here are profiled listing the initial design requests and what we produced. Understand that making a website is more than just plugging in a few words and images. It involves editing, design and understanding and creating what our clients wants and needs are. We turn whatever our customers vision is, into reality.
Pam Rettig
www.pamrettig.com is a great example of what Mind Imaging can do for your small business. The site generates about 100 hits per month from 5 per month prior. Entering in the proper keywords for any site make search engines know what's on the pages and can then better match requests from potential clients to her site.
Pam offers E.F.T. and Reiki to her clients and the site is all about her abilities and special skills that she offers her customers. She is Receiving calls from all over Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio (her target zone) for her services.
Pam also purchased the newsletter functionality with a template built in for her to send out emails to her clients on a semi-regular basis. Doing this allows her to keep in contact with her clients and also helps drive repeat visits to the website. She had an existing website that she had made from a prefabricated template site. Our goal was to mimic and improve the site where she wasn't happy with the look and feel, the Major issue was the content blocks looked plain and didn't have any artwork. She also had several pictures that were entirely to large and some were really blurry. Cleaning the pictures up allowed us to use them on her site in a much more appealing way. We also created several images for her front page to use on different seasonal and holiday events.
JTs Stovetop BBQ Co.
www.jtsstovetopbbqco.com Terry came to us with only a domain name, he had purchased this domain name but wasn't sure what was needed next. He wanted to sell his product online, have a few picture galleries, and showcase some awards, but more importantly he wanted to show that he was having a great time with his product.
Terry needed help
- He had no viable logo, all I had to work with was a tee-shirt.
- We weren't sure about a theme we didn't have any preconceived idea on a layout.
- The company had never used any ecommerce.
- No working pictures of products to be sold online
- No great picture galleries ready to go
So, we floated three different design themes of artwork to him so that he could choose which one he liked the best. The first Design theme used logs and a lot of wood. Terry didn't care for it.
The next version used alot of the blue pig on the site you see now for buttons and a much different layout... we were getting warmer, but still Terry asked for another design theme.
The third and current version of the site matched the flames up with the pig logo and a checkered table cloth background to the site, and He really liked it, it played on a more upbeat feel that we thought he'd enjoy.
Once the layout and design process had been completed, we needed content. We took some of Terry's product and treated them like the supermodels they were! A 3 day long photo shoot at our studio resulted in some great prodcut imagry and allowed us to incorporate it into the sites layout.
Terry also wanted to have a site that allowed people to purchase his product (tee shirts and bottles of his famous sauce) online, he would then ship them the order. We setup a Pay Pal account for his business and setup the transaction procedure for his site to process the orders.
He didn't need a full blown Ecommerce site since his product line was pretty small. It would have been a larger cost to install a major ecommerce solution for him. Doing it with Pay Pal Buy Now! buttons allowed us to keep his development costs to a minimum while allowing what he wanted done to work correctly.
Next Terry wanted to get some Pictures of his company in action! They work at a few festivals around Ohio during the summer and Mind Imaging tagged along for a couple of these festivals and snapped some photo's of the team in action! We even caught Terry getting an award! Best Ribs in Ohio 2004! Next we formated and cleaned up the images to be displayed on the website in galleries.
Finally Terry asked for an intro to his site, a comical animated flash display was developed for him that featured a cow, pig, and chicken logo orbiting his logo. When the user "mouses over" the logos of the farm animals, a sound is played. Next the flash loads the main page of his site. We all loved it and Terry thought it was great!
The Doorbell Diner
www.thedoorbelldiner.com This customer had an existing site, and logo that friends had created for her. The site was nice, but it lacked a polished feel. It also needed to be updated. The Client had already arranged everything nicely on paper explaining exactly how she wanted it laid out.
putting it together was smooth, and the site was linked up to her vendor storefront ecommerce site with ease. We tweaked the logo adding a pink glow and rounding the edges, again refining it to make it look more professional. Next we created two flash animation that scrolled some verbage on the top of the screen and scrolled the major restaurants she had menu's for.
The theme of the site was using soft blacks and dark dark greys with Pink text to match the logo. The client provided images of dishes that were available from her site they were all different sizes, we standardized the size and made a defining bar that defined the sites layout.
